Why this matters

The earlier you know, the more you can do.

World Alzheimer's Day will be celebrated globally on September 21, 2026 under the theme: “The Earlier You Know, The More You Can Do: A Dementia Diagnosis Matters”. This is especially applicable in Jamaica, where non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease are highly prevalent.

The seminar focuses on awareness, prevention, early detection, caregiving, practical support, and understanding dementia across the full journey.

“The time to learn about dementia is before it shows up at your doorstep.”
